Playa Blanca, Lanzarote
Playa Blanca is the most southerly and sunniest resort on Lanzarote. Located in the municipality of Yaiza, approximately 35 km from Arrecife and 25 km from the hype and hustle of Puerto del Carmen. The Council of Yaiza has learned a lot from the mistakes of other developers and created a tastefully developed beautiful holiday resort. Well-connected by bus, road and boat, this once quiet fishing village has developed into a beautiful holiday destination, offering many shops, restaurants and bars spread from the harbour along the beach promenade.
Playa Blanca has developed slowly and carefully over time to allow a strong community to grow amongst its’ palm-lined boulevards. Spend all day sightseeing or relaxing on sandy beaches, then enjoy a long evening stroll along the longest promenade in Europe to pick from many excellent local restaurants and bars, offering a wealth of choice from fish caught less than 100m from your table, to Chinese, Indian and some of the best Canarian traditional food on-island.
The resort offers fantastic beaches, various water sports/rides, scuba diving, boat trips, children's play-park, bungee trampolines, mini golf, ferry to Fuerteventura, shops, bars, cafe's, fun-pubs, restaurants, and nightclub. Regular hydrofoils and ferries depart daily from Playa Blanca harbour to Fuerteventura, providing an easy and exciting day out.
